Danny travels down Virginia Beach MMA on a regular basis for Jiu Jitsu training.  I met him a few years ago when I first arrived at Lloyd Irvin’s.  He was extremely outgoing and friendly and we have been friends ever since.

More than just a competitor, though, me and danny are always bouncing ideas off of one another to improve our respective programs.  Having had great success recently on the MMA scene in RI, Danny’s gym has grown 500% in the past year alone.  Not one to settle, though, I will actually be seeing Dan soon at a business conference down here in Maryland next month.

What I really wanted to say, though, was congrats to Dan on his recent tournament success.  Dan just won the biggest tournament in this country last month at brown belt!  People travel from everywhere to compete in the Pan-Ams, and Dan won at the second highest level.  He ran through his division without anyone scoring a point on him and he submitted all of his opponents.

So even though I could congratulate Dan Faggella on his recent gym success at Black Diamond MMA in little Rhode Island, this post is to congratulate him on recently winning the national Pan-American Brazilian jiu jitsu tournament at brown belt!!
