I am certainly no master at business, but I am excited for my trip this weekend because it will help me on my journey of having one of the best MMA and BJJ gyms in all of Virginia.

Master Lloyd Irvin puts on some awesome business seminars that I frequent as much as possible.  When it comes to running a MMA gym, it as much a business as anything else if you want to do it properly.  Now, just like I did with Muay Thai and MMA training, when I wanted to become the best I needed to learn from the best.

Only One Way To Become The Best MMA Gym In Virginia

In this regard there is no difference between MMA, business, or any other aspect of life for that matter! In order to be successful in any area of your life I humbly recommend the following 3 steps-

1- Find who is awesome at doing whatever it is you are trying to do…be it running GREAT MMA CLASSES, shooting a basketball, or being a parent

2- Figure out what they do and how they do it

3- Do what you figure out.

If more people were willing to simply put away their pride and just follow in the footsteps of those who came before them and carved out such awesome steps then there would be many more success stories in the MMA industry in Virginia and everywhere else.

Does this mean you can never improvise? Of course not…obviously someone has to shift things around a little bit or else there would be no progress.  But that does not mean we should neglect the great information already available to us.

I know I will be seeing Master Danny Ives there from Ivey League MMA and my friend Dan Faggella will be taking a break from his Bjj classes in Rhode Island to make the trip and I look forward to their company!  It will be a fun but hard-core learning weekend!

As we move into our new gym, I am going to continue to follow the steps I just mentioned to you so as to continue getting closer and closer to Outfox MMA’s goal of being the best MMA, Muay Thai, and BJJ gym in all of Virginia.
